SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
1. FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
(a) The driver seat is equipped with slide, reclining, lifter, front vertical, lumbar support and leg support adjustment functions.
(b) The passenger seat is equipped with slide, reclining and lumbar support adjustment functions.
2. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENT
The following functions are available.

Sliding motor
|
Receives signal from front power seat switch, motor operates, and seat slides forward and rearward.

Reclining motor
|
Receives signal from front power seat switch, motor operates, and seat tilts and reclines.

Front vertical motor
|
Receives signal from front power seat switch, and seat cushion front rises and lowers vertically.
|
|
Lifter motor
|
Receives signal from front power seat switch, and seat cushion rises and lowers vertically.
|
|
Lumbar support motor
|
Receives signal from front power seat lumbar switch, and lumbar support can be adjusted.
|
|
Leg support motor
|
Receives signal from leg support adjustment switch, motor operates, and seat cushion front opens and closes.
|
|
Seat position sensor
|
Is built into each seat adjuster and sends position data to front power seat switch so that it can detect seat positions at all times.

|
Front power seat switch
|
Based on switches operated, seat adjuster signals are input into power seat control and seat is adjusted accordingly.
|
|
Front power seat lumbar switch
|
Based on switches operated, seat adjuster signals are input into switch and seat is adjusted accordingly.

Leg support adjustment switch
|
Based on switches operated, seat adjuster signals are input into switch and seat is adjusted accordingly.

|
Seat memory switch
|
When SET switch and memory switch are pressed simultaneously, signal is input to outer mirror control ECU and seat position is recorded.
Then, when memory switch is pressed, signal is input to outer mirror control ECU and seat position changes according to memory.

3. SYSTEM OPERATION
The front power seat functions that can be adjusted with power seat motors and/or memorized are shown in the chart below.

For the driver side memory function, the seat memory switch operation is first transferred from the outer mirror control ECU to the position control ECU and switch via the CAN communication line. Then, either the seat position is stored in memory or a previously stored seat position is recalled.
